Application

The anti static conductive fibers are used in industrial work wear, flame-retardant garments, military uniforms, conveyor belts, industrial filters, copier brushes, flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC), carpets and rugs, and most fabric applications requiring static dissipation. Both nylon- and polyester-based products are now available.


Classification

Including two types of filaments and short fibers, each with different methods of use, scope of use and advantages and disadvantages. Filaments are often formed by weaving on the fabric to form slivers or lattices; while short fibers are often added to the fabric by blending. Considering the antistatic mechanism of textiles containing organic conductive fibers, the organic conductive fibers provide a charge assembly on the one hand and a charge dissipation path on the other hand, so that the filaments are easy to form a charge dissipation path. Experiments have shown that in order to achieve the same antistatic properties, the amount of short fibers added is about 10 to 20 times that of filaments. Similarly, when the organic conductive filament is applied to the knitted fabric, the conductive path is curved, and the same antistatic property requirement is required, and the addition amount is higher than that of the woven fabric.
